Marshalls End Adams Streak Wednesday, May 5th , 2055 The Indiana Hounds lost to the Olympia Marshalls, 5-3, at The Corral, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Bill Adams's 25-game hitting streak. The left fielder went 0-for-4 on the day. "We felt if we could slow down Adams, we would win the game," Marshalls manager Dan Martin explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down." Adams is batting at a .394 pace this season, picking up 41 hits in 104 at-bats with 10 home runs, 27 RBIs and 19 runs scored. |
