Player of the Week Trophy to Carrillo Monday, July 2nd, 2035 So far in his young career, Enrique Carrillo has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the International League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 24-year-old New England Whalers first baseman hit at a torrid .556 clip as he collected 15 hits in 27 at-bats, 3 home runs, 7 RBIs and 9 runs scored. This year Carrillo has 15 home runs and a .300 batting average. |
