Gary Smacks 3 Out of the Park Saturday, May 15th , 2055 The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Michael Gary did at Mile High Field, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 18-11. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Gary said. "Good things happen, when that happens." The Knoxville Johnnys right fielder blistered the Mile High Broncos for 3 hits, batted in 7 runs and scored 3 times. "It ain't like we weren't trying," Mile High manager Rob Lucas said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today." Michael Gary hit a two-run home run off Walt Land in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Manuel Reyes in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Daniel Michael in the 7th, flied out in the 8th and flied out in the 9th. At present, Gary is batting .361 with 57 hits and 20 home runs. He has knocked in 44 runs and scored 46 times. |
