Injury Sidelines Jesús Rivera for Season Friday, July 19th , 2047 When Jesús Rivera was hurt against the Wolfeboro Wolves, the Detroit X-Wings were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 35-year-old starting pitcher suffered a torn labrum throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Rivera would miss 9-10 months of the season. On his stats sheet this season Rivera shows a 3-5 record, 14 starts, 59.2 innings, 38 strikeouts and a 6.34 ERA. |
