Vancouver Shut Out by Neal
Friday, June 5th , 2054
The Houston Hammertime shut out the Vancouver Vipers, 5-0, behind the strong pitching of Grady Neal. Neal surrendered only 4 hits in recording the complete-game victory, and struck out 5.

Following the last out, Neal appeared to celebrate a little too boisterously for Vancouver manager Yong-hoon Park, who could be seen scolding the famously outspoken right-hander as the clubs left the field. Neal's own manager then intervened with some words for his counterpart.

The Vipers skipper would not comment on the exchange but, at the Hammertime press conference, Neal confirmed that it was regarding the celebration.

"He basically told me I was being a lousy winner," Neal said.

"And I told him he was being a lousy loser," Houston manager Brian Steele added.

This season, Neal has gone 4-2 with an ERA of 4.18, posting 42 strikeouts in 60.1 innings.
