Leech Pounds 3 HR Tuesday, May 9th , 2056 The Detroit X-Wings knocked off the Union Township Sodbusters, 16-15, in spite of a fantastic performance by Sodbusters first baseman Dennis Leech, who drilled three home runs but couldn't bring home the victory. "It's like going to the prom with the prettiest girl in school, having a great time, but then not getting a good night kiss," Leech said later. Leech finished the day with 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 4 runs batted in and 4 runs scored. Dennis Leech struck out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Javier Bianchi in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Pete Adams in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off William Lyons in the 8th. Leech on the season is hitting .395 with 11 home runs. His stats include 19 RBIs and 14 runs scored. |
