Hit Parade: Barrón Gets Cycle
Saturday, August 7th, 2038
At Louisville Slugger Field today, Felipe Barrón led New England to a 23-4 victory over the Louisville Bats by hitting for the cycle, one of baseball's more difficult feats.

"Usually the triple is the hardest one to get, but I was most worried about the homer today because the ball wasn't carrying," Barrón said later. "When I took it deep, I was expecting the ball to die on the warning track, so it was sweet seeing the ump give me the signal to circle the bases."

In addition to going 4-for-7, Barrón chalked up 7 runs batted in and scored 3 runs in an exceptional performance.

Felipe Barrón singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, flied out in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Leonard Clements in the 7th, hit a two-run double in the 8th, flied out in the 8th and hit a three-run triple in the 9th.

Barrón has collected 37 hits for the Whalers this year, 5 of them home runs. He has also netted 28 RBIs and scored 20 runs while batting .349.
