Tuscaloosa's Abbott Snags August Batting Title Tuesday, September 1st , 2048 Todd Abbott made his presence known as one of the best young stars in the International League this past month. The Tuscaloosa Trout Slayers first baseman shined through the month of August and has won the Batter of the Month award. The 21-year-old hit .398 with 14 home runs, 30 RBIs and 29 runs scored. This season Abbott is batting .373 with 62 RBIs, 52 runs scored and 22 home runs. |
