Otake on a Tear, Hits for Cycle
Wednesday, July 26th , 2051
Getting 4 hits in a game is no easy feat, but doing it to hit for the cycle is even more rare.

Takanobu Otake of the Wolfeboro Wolves pulled it off today at Fun Spot Stadium, going 4-for-4 against the Tuscaloosa Trout Slayers. His batting escapades sparked the Wolves to a 7-6 victory.

Otake tallied 2 runs and drove in 2 during the game. Hitting for the cycle is particularly rare because of the different skills required - enough power for a home run, enough speed for a triple and enough patience at the plate to see at least four hittable balls.

"It just happened," Otake said to reporters after the win. "Must have been fate or something, I wasn't expecting it. Heck, I wasn't even really trying for it."

Takanobu Otake hit a solo-shot off Ron Harvey in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 5th, doubled in the 6th, walked in the 8th and singled in the 10th.

This year Otake is hitting .272 with 18 home runs and 53 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .334 clip and scored 47 runs.
