José Patino Rockets 3 Home Runs Thursday, July 27th , 2051 José Patino brutalized the Chapel Hill Sharks pitching staff, launching three home runs in today's 15-12 victory at Sharks Stadium. The Sunderland Black Cats left fielder was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day. "I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one." For the game, he went 3-for-5 with 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "Too much José Patino today," Sharks manager Alfredo Rangel said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to." José Patino hit a solo-shot off Dan Childress in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Dan Childress in the 5th, struck out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Júlio Cruz in the 8th. For the year Patino is hitting .309 with 16 home runs. His stats include 40 RBI and 39 runs scored. |
