Bryan Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Saturday, July 29th , 2051 Steve Bryan, third baseman for the Chapel Hill Sharks, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 2 hits in his club's 4-3 victory today over the Sunderland Black Cats at Sharks Stadium today. "Not the outcome we wanted," Sunderland manager Danny Crouch said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Steve Bryan struck out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. Posting a .392 batting average to date, Bryan has 9 home runs and 36 RBIs. |
