Injury Setback for Redwoods Blunsden
Sunday, August 13th , 2051
Yesterday Redwood City starting pitcher Otis Blunsden sustained a setback in his recovery from a bone spur in his elbow. The Redwoods medical staff told him it would be at least 5 weeks before he will be able to return to action. Blunsden told reporters, "The healing process has gone extremely well. This is just a little hiccup and a little setback." Apparently Blunsden worked a little too hard in a recent workout and caused more damage. His doctors have advised him to do only light exercise and give the injury time to heal.

So far this season, Blunsden has logged a 3-1 record with a 4.54 ERA. He has started 7 games, hurled 41.2 innings and registered 17 strikeouts and 10 walks.
