Chapel Hill Starter July's Best Pitcher Saturday, August 1st , 2054 Last month's cream of the crop on the mound was Mike Hennessey of the Chapel Hill Sharks. He captured the International League Pitcher of the Month award for his outstanding performance in July. Hennessey started 6 games, threw 39 innings, yielded 33 hits and logged a 5-0 record. He put down 44 batters on strikes, walked 14 and compiled a 2.77 ERA. Opposing teams batted .228 against him. In 12 starts this year, Hennessey has recorded a 10-2 record and a 5.69 ERA. |
