Thomas Packs a Wallop -- Hits 3 HR Against Redwoods Friday, August 7th , 2054 Whatever Clifford Thomas ate for breakfast before his game against the Redwood City Redwoods, it gave him some impressive power. The Albuquerque shortstop smacked three balls up and out of the park at Red Hot Stadium. His home run barrage helped the Isotopes defeat the Redwoods, 8-1. "When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you've got a shot at a homer," he told BNN reporters after the game. "I got three shots today and nailed them all." On his 3-homer day, he went 3-for-4, scored 3 times, drove in 7 and put on a display that history will remember. Clifford Thomas hit a GRAND SLAM off Rubén Benítez in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Cristián Gaona in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Cristián Gaona in the 8th. So far this season, Thomas has put up a .235 batting average with 72 hits, 17 home runs and 45 RBIs. |
