PCL Announces Outstanding Player Award Wednesday, October 22nd, 2042 The future looks extremely bright for Elmer Johnston. At the age of 23, many players are still trying to find their way in Reserves League. Johnston has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Pacific Coast League Outstanding Hitter Award. "I didn't expect to hit .419 this year, that's for sure," the left fielder said. The Mexico City Cerveceros star also put up a .495 on-base percentage this year, with 145 hits, 27 doubles, 10 triples, 20 home runs, 78 RBIs and 107 runs scored. He received 18 first place votes out of a possible 30. Tom Burgess of the Houston Hammertime finished second in voting with 11 first place votes, while Alex Boucher of the Knoxville Johnnys finished third with 1 first place vote.
