Cepeda Hit Streak Reaches 31 Games

The hot bat of Marshalls right fielder Salvador Cepeda continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 31 games after he went 1-for-5 in today's 7-5 loss to the Trout Slayers at Tuscaloosa Municipal Stadium.
"I'm trying not to think about it much," he said later. "I don't want to mess with whatever zone I'm in." Salvador Cepeda flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
This year, Cepeda has hit at a .400 clip with 58 hits, 3 home runs, 16 RBIs and 25 runs scored.
