Xavier Rivera Sidelined for Season Saturday, September 2nd , 2051 The Vancouver Vipers were dealt a blow today when reliever Xavier Rivera left the game with an undisclosed injury. The team has now revealed that Rivera has suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and will most likely miss the rest of the season as a result of the injury. Rivera has compiled an ERA of 5.66 so far this season, winning 1 games with 1 loss and 2 saves. In 15 relief appearances he has hurled 20.2 innings, yielded 23 hits and struck out 20.
