Olympia Takes Round 1 in Deciding Game Thursday, September 10th , 2054 Olympia Marshalls won a nail-biting series against the New England Whalers 4-3, wrapping up the Round 1 finale 3-1 at The Corral. Marshalls designated hitter Lance Anderson was named the series MVP. He batted .345, drove in 7 runs and scored 6 to lead Olympia into the next round of play. "Lance was real solid for us, real solid," said Marshalls manager Dan Martin. "I normally say I'd like to have nine of him out there, but thankfully we got by with just one this time." The Olympia Marshalls will play against the Houston Hammertime in the next round. Houston won their series against the Waco Blue Cats 4 games to 0.
