Hitting Streak Still Alive for Benson Thursday, August 5th , 2055 Josh Benson has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 22-year-old Cornwall Royals left fielder extended his streak to 30 games, going 1-for-4 as Cornwall got the best of the New England Whalers at King George Park, 6-5. "Josh has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Royals manager Rafael Zarate said. Josh Benson grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th and singled in the 7th. So far in 2055 Benson is batting .363 with 44 home runs, 105 RBIs and 91 runs scored. He has 158 hits in 435 at-bats and a .414 OBP. |
