Future in Jeopardy for Trappers Joe MacAslan
Wednesday, October 25th , 2051
A tearful Joe MacAslan stood with Spokane Trappers officials and teammates as he announced that his baseball career was over. The 36-year-old starting pitcher was recovering from a torn meniscus, but the injury recently became worse and doctors recommended that he retire from the game. "It's really hard to leave because I love to play baseball," MacAslan explained to reporters. "I'll miss playing baseball and living out my childhood dream, but I'll always cherish the memories I have. Despite this bad break, life has been good to me."
In his career, MacAslan has a record of 17 wins and 14 losses and a 4.30 ERA. He has struck out 181 in 267.2 innings.
