X-Wings Lance O'Donel Will Miss Season Wednesday, August 25th , 2055 The doctors have spoken and Lance O'Donel of the Detroit X-Wings didn't like what he heard. The 27-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. O'Donel sustained his season-ending injury during the Cornwall Royals game yesterday at Saddlehorn Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Detroit medical staff reported O'Donel had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 11 months. To date this year, O'Donel has compiled a 4-2 mark with a 7.17 ERA in 0 starts. |
