ITL's #1 Player for 2054 Named Monday, October 5th , 2054 Most of the season Myles Slaughter was "in the zone" and had his way with opposing pitchers. The Whalers left fielder managed to stay there long enough to earn the International League Outstanding Hitter Award for 2054. He assaulted ITL pitchers for a .377 batting average, 191 hits, 53 home runs and 123 RBIs, while scoring 142 times. He received 28 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Ronnie Ford of the Detroit X-Wings finished second in voting, while Víctor Suárez of the Santa Monica Bruins finished third.
