Season May Be Over for Bats Kirby
Wednesday, April 8th , 2054
The doctors have spoken and Phil Kirby of the Louisville Bats didn't like what he heard. The 31-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Kirby sustained his season-ending injury during the Santa Monica Bruins game yesterday at Louisville Slugger Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Louisville medical staff reported Kirby had a torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 13-14 months.
