Tuesday, April 6th , 2055
Sometimes it just isn't enough.
Jack Dewar had an outstanding day at The Viper Nest for the Vancouver Vipers, ripping three home runs. Nonetheless, the Vipers fell to the Knoxville Johnnys, 16-5.
Dewar had a feast at the plate, pounding everything thrown his way. The 22-year-old right fielder banged out 3 hits in 4 at-bats, scored 3 times and batted in 4 runs. Despite his sensational performance, the Vipers were not able to hold off the Johnnys.
"Baseball is a funny game," Dewar said in the post-game interview, "You can't dwell on the reasons for the loss. I'm sure there will be days when I go 0-for-4 and we win. These things tend to even out."
Jack Dewar hit a two-run home run off Frank Valentine in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Frank Valentine in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Frank Valentine in the 8th.
