Brown Bangs 4 out of the Park Saturday, May 27th , 2051 Nothing could stop Ricky Brown today -- certainly not the Plumstead Eagles pitching staff. The 24-year-old right fielder for the Newport News sent 4 baseballs soaring out of Karaharisis Stadium and made his name a part of history. Behind his barrage, the News took a 9-2 win over the Eagles. "In the standings, a loss is just a loss, but this one was frustrating," Eagles manager Juan Medina said later. "He clobbered us." Brown's dream game included 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 4 homers, 7 runs driven in and 4 runs scored. "I know all the stories are going to be about me today, and that's OK," Brown told the press in the locker room after the game. "Next time, it'll be one of the other guys." Ricky Brown hit a solo-shot off Robert Smith in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Robert Smith in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Robert Smith in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Willie Ward in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.
