Season Ends for Mark Howe of Surrey
Sunday, June 5th, 2039
The doctors have spoken and Mark Howe of the Surrey Sinners didn't like what he heard. The 23-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Howe sustained his season-ending injury during the Asheville Hippies game yesterday at Goodyear Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Surrey medical staff reported Howe had a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 11 months.

Howe has taken the hill for 17 relief appearances this season, nailing down 2 saves while notching a 1-0 record with a 5.40 ERA. The Surrey reliever has limited opposing batters to a .296 batting average.
