López's Hit Streak Soars to 25 Games Monday, June 19th , 2051 Nick López ran his hitting streak to 25 straight games today at Gentry Field, when he collected 1 hit in 2 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Jasper Cougars dropped the game, 10-6, to the Chisago Lakes Lakers. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," López said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Nick López hit an RBI single in the 2nd, walked in the 5th, walked in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. López is presently hitting at a .372 pace with 19 home runs and 58 RBIs. He has played in 66 games and scored 52 times. |
