Pride Simpson Sizzles with Cycle Friday, June 12th , 2054 Cincinnati shortstop Tyler Simpson had a field day at Caracas Field, battering Bryant pitchers and hitting for the cycle. Simpson sparked the Pride to a win, 10-9, over the Hornets by going 4-for-5 with 3 runs batted in and scoring 2 runs. "I was seeing the ball great today," Simpson said. "I'm glad it translated into results on the field." Tyler Simpson singled in the 1st, was hit by a pitch in the 3rd, tripled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Brendan England in the 7th, hit a two-run double in the 8th and grounded out in the 10th.
