López's 32-Game Hit Streak Ends Thursday, June 29th , 2051 Jasper Cougars third baseman Nick López and his hot bat finally met their match today at The Cougar Den. The Calgary Cowboys snapped his 32-game hitting string, holding López hitless in 2 at-bats and also whipping Jasper for good measure. "We're real pleased with this one," Cowboys manager Jack Wolochow said. "Nobody wants to be on the wrong end of a streak like that, and clobbering Jasper makes it even sweeter." López is batting .368 this year with 23 home runs, 64 RBIs and 60 runs scored. He has 93 hits in 253 at-bats. |
