Mike Sykes Out for Season Sunday, August 11th , 2047 A blow for Mike Sykes today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 4-5 months with a fractured elbow. Sykes suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Evanston Elitists are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Sykes's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. This year Sykes has worked 120.1 innings with 122 strikeouts en route to a 7-6 record and a 4.86 ERA. |
