Lions End Jenkins's Streak Thursday, July 6th , 2051 All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for Kevin Jenkins as he saw his 20-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 3 at-bats at the hands of the Millwall Lions. It wasn't all bad for the 22-year-old right fielder and the Fishkill Patriots however, as they defeated Millwall 12-6 at Patriots Memorial Park. When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling Jenkins laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today." So far this season Jenkins is batting .346 with 50 home runs. |
