Castillo Goes Downtown 3 Times Against Rainiers
Saturday, July 29th , 2051
Asheville Hippies bombardier Vicente Castillo set his sights on the stands and blasted three balls over the fence as his club took a 11-4 win over the Seattle Rainiers today.
"I guess you could say I was a good guesser today, especially on the last one," Castillo told writers in the postgame press room. "I was ahead in the count, so I gambled that I'd get a certain pitch, and got all of it."
For the game, the Asheville shortstop had 3 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 3, and scored 4 runs.
Vicente Castillo grounded out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Chris White in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Zachary Austin in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off António Meléndez in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
So far this year Castillo is batting .234 with 14 home runs, 31 RBIs and 47 runs scored.
