Evanston Snaps Davis's Streak at 20
Sunday, August 13th , 2051
Millwall right fielder Danny Davis came into today's game against the Evanston Elitists on a hot streak. He left on a cold one.

The Elitists did their jobs well, beating the Millwall Lions 4-3 and holding Davis hitless to snap his 20-game hitting streak. The 22-year-old right fielder had a few words to say after finishing 0-for-1, telling reporters only that he "came up short."

"What Danny did was exciting and quite an achievement," said Lions manager Kyle Williams. "It's tough enough to get one hit in this league, much less go 20 games in a row. I'm even more proud of the way he handled the press coverage. He never let the frenzy get to him or affect his play."

This year Davis has hit at a .429 pace and produced 31 RBIs, 16 home runs and scored 27 runs.
