Reid Socks It to Spikes, Cracks 5 Hits Friday, August 25th , 2051 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Ed Reid today -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Dirty South Park and paced the Jaxx to a 8-0 win over the State College Spikes. After his dynamite batting performance, the Erie second baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. Ed Reid singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. Reid is hitting .266 in 2051 with 41 RBIs and 7 home runs.
