Erie's Chio Sidelined for Season

The season is finished for Jen-djieh Chio of the Erie Jaxx. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Jaxx starting pitcher suffered a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Savannah Hogs. Team doctors said it would take at least 13 months to heal.
In 10 starts this year Chio has posted 2 wins while suffering 3 losses. He has pitched 38.2 innings, allowed 55 hits, struck out 23 and has a 6.75 ERA.
