3-HR Binge for Holmes Against Bethany Beach Monday, July 27th , 2054 Corpus Christi Hooks second baseman Lloyd Holmes had a magnificent game against the Bethany Beach Beastmode, rocketing three balls out of The Den to help the Hooks win, 13-3. "I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes." For the game, Holmes went 4-for-5 with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Corpus Christi manager Ricardo Quiñonez said later. "Seems like Lloyd found his home run stroke today." Lloyd Holmes hit a two-run home run off Sam Adams in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Sam Adams in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Diego Alamares in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
