The manager of the Scottsdale Scorpions said he thinks David Medina is only going to get better as he gets older.
He may only be 24, but it will be hard to top the right fielder's 2044 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the National League Outstanding Hitter Award.
His winning campaign featured a .287 batting average and a .421 on-base percentage this year. In 111 games he piled up 100 hits, 12 doubles, 2 triples, 35 home runs, 106 RBIs and 90 runs scored.
He received 23 first place votes out of a possible 30. Ryan Myers of the Jasper Cougars finished second in voting with 6 first place votes, while Joe Cole of the Colorado Commanders finished third with 1 first place vote.
