Eric Conner Named Premier CL Player Sunday, October 3rd , 2055 2055 was an outstanding year for Erie catcher Eric Conner and it was capped off today by the announcement that he is the winner of the Continental League Outstanding Hitter Award. This season Conner compiled a .358 batting average and a .440 on-base percentage. In 110 games he delivered 156 hits, including 28 doubles, 1 triple and 37 home runs. He finished the year with 107 RBIs and 112 runs scored. He received 16 first place votes out of a possible 28. Mitch Brown of the Newport News finished second in voting with 11 first place votes, while Patrick Cooper of the Carmel Scrappys finished third.
