Pickle's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Wednesday, May 10th , 2051 Virginia Tech center fielder Emery Pickle keeps on racking up hits every time he plays. His hitting streak now stands at 20 games after collecting 1 hit at English Field today. The Hokies took the 8-2 victory over the Texas Tech Red Raiders. "I have been seeing the ball really good the last few weeks, but I am a bit surprised how things are working out," Pickle said. "I've gotten a couple flares to drop in, so I've also been a little lucky." Emery Pickle walked in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th and doubled in the 5th. Thus far this year Pickle is batting .393 with 2 home runs, 26 RBIs and 27 runs scored. |
