Dennis Richardson Out for Season Wednesday, May 10th , 2051 The doctors have spoken and Dennis Richardson of the Mississippi Rebels didn't like what he heard. The 19-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Richardson sustained his season-ending injury during the Boston College Eagles game yesterday at Shea Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Mississippi medical staff reported Richardson had a torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 12-13 months. In 6 starts this season, Richardson has picked up no wins while suffering 4 losses. He has pitched 25.1 innings, allowed 31 hits, struck out 15 and posted a 6.39 ERA. |
