Pittsburgh Out of Playoff Race Friday, May 12th , 2051 Postseason baseball won't be coming to Pittsburgh this year. The quest for the playoffs ended for the Pittsburgh Panthers today, as they were mathematically eliminated from contention. "Not the first time I've experienced this," said Panthers manager Andrew Ellis, "but it never gets fun." Pittsburgh last appeared in the postseason in 2042. This is their 9th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 35 times in their 45-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Panthers have only made the playoffs once. |
