Vandeusen Has 20-Game Hitting Streak Friday, May 12th , 2051 With 2 hits at Alex Box Stadium today, Brian Vandeusen added another game to his hitting streak -- the Louisville first baseman has now hit safely for 20 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Cardinals today, as they fell, 8-5, to the Louisiana State Tigers. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," Louisiana State manager Leroy Sibbald said later. "I'll let him get 4 hits in 4 at-bats if it means we get a win." Brian Vandeusen walked in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and struck out in the 8th.
