Cougars Sears Gone for Year
Saturday, May 13th , 2051
When Bubba Sears was hurt against the Arizona State Sun Devils, the Washington State Cougars were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 18-year-old closer suffered shoulder inflammation throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Sears would miss 5 months of the season.

Sears has 3 saves this year. In 13 relief appearances he has tossed 20 innings, fanned 12, and given up 11 walks with a 1-1 record. The Washington State reliever has recorded a 5.40 ERA and allowed the opposition to hit .325 when he is on the mound.
