Hit Streak Now at 33 for Gregory Monday, May 15th , 2051 Bob Gregory's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 33 games. The Xavier left fielder smacked 1 hit against the Oklahoma Sooners in today's game at L. Dale Mitchell Baseball Park, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Musketeers drop the game, 11-0. "I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Bob Gregory singled in the 9th. Gregory has collected 73 hits for the Musketeers this year, 7 of them home runs. He has also netted 37 RBIs and scored 25 runs while batting .408. |
