Tate Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Sunday, April 25th , 2055 Ken Tate's bat has been smoking lately, and it continued today as he went 2-for-4 in his team's 11-3 triumph over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Baylor Ballpark. The 19-year-old second baseman has now hit safely in 20 consecutive games for the Bears. Ken Tate singled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th and hit a two-run home run off Gary Ballard in the 6th. Tate is currently batting .439 with 19 home runs, 49 RBIs and 29 runs scored. He has 47 hits in 107 at-bats. |
