Gregory's Hit Streak Soars to 36 Games Friday, May 19th , 2051 Chalk up another one for Xavier Musketeers left fielder Bob Gregory. He now has hit in 36 straight games. Gregory went 2-for-4 today's game at Jim Patterson Stadium but saw his club defeated 5-3 by the host Louisville Cardinals. "Playing on the road always makes it harder to get hits and to get wins," Musketeers manager Jaime Guzmán said after the game. "We got one of the two, but unfortunately it was the wrong one." Bob Gregory doubled in the 1st, struck out in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Cliff Pannell in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. Gregory on the season is hitting .411 with 9 home runs. His stats include 42 RBIs and 29 runs scored. |
