Gregory Keeps Hit Streak Alive Saturday, May 20th , 2051 Xavier Musketeers left fielder Bob Gregory was beaming today after his team finished beating the Louisville Cardinals 10-8 at Jim Patterson Stadium. Gregory contributed 1 hit to the victory and extended his hitting streak to 37 games. "Life is good when the hits keep coming like they have in the last few weeks," he said at his postgame press conference. "I hope I can keep it up a little while longer." Bob Gregory hit an RBI single in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. This year Gregory has hit at a .406 clip with 44 RBIs, 9 home runs and 30 runs scored. |
