Nittany Lions Captures Wild Card Sunday, May 21st , 2051 The Penn State Nittany Lions have thrilled their fan base by securing a late-season wild card berth. The team's playoff future was certainly not a foregone conclusion, as the Nittany Lions battled to find a place in the postseason. "We never lost faith, I think that's key," said starting pitcher Brendon MacAlduie. "Even when things got rough, people in our clubhouse believed we were going to win." With their record sitting at 31-19, the Nittany Lions will try to build on their success to win the 2nd College Baseball championship in team history. |
