Wages Slams 3 Homers for Sooners Tuesday, May 19th , 2043 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Mike Martin Field at Dick Howser Stadium buzzing, Oklahoma Sooners second baseman Earl Wages blasted a trio of home runs en route to a 6-3 win over the Florida State Seminoles. "Everything was clicking," Wages told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Wages shined brilliantly in the win, with 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Sooners manager Dan Holden said. "Earl played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Earl Wages struck out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Jason Catron in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jason Catron in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Hugh Parker in the 8th.
