Illinois Won't Make Playoffs Friday, May 23rd , 2053 The Illinois Fighting Illini were mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today. Mito Ota of the Fighting Illini said it's a tough way to finish out the season. "To be eliminated from playoff contention in the last few games, it's not easy," he said. Before this season, the Fighting Illini last missed the playoffs in 2051. In the 47 years they have been a College Baseball franchise, they have made the playoffs 13 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Fighting Illini have missed the playoffs 7 times. |
